You guys probably know by now that I love wearing neutral, basic, and classic pieces. A big part of that is because they’re versatile and, if you do it right, can last for several seasons. Versatility is key my friends! It gives you so many possibilities. But it’s also nice to have trendy pieces that are a little bolder and stand out a little bit. Whenever I buy a piece like that, I still like to make sure that it’s versatile and that I can wear it several different ways. That way I can wear it more than once without feeling like I totally repeated the exact same outfit, haha.
Buffalo plaid is a growing trend right now and I’m kinda likin’ it, so when I found this sweater at Zara, I decided I wanted to give it a try! This is one of those pieces that’s pretty distinct but I knew I could style it in multiple ways so I went for it. And you don’t always have to style something in a drastically different way. Subtle changes are still changes! So, I thought I would show you guys 3 different ways that I styled this buffalo plaid sweater.
For this look, I styled it with black skinnies, taupe booties and a taupe bag, a black scarf, and red tassel earrings. This look let the sweater speak for itself. And I loved mixing up the tones by throwing in the taupe instead of grey or black.
This look is a bit sleeker with the white jeans and black top coat. I wanted to keep things chic so I added black booties and some fun black hoops and called it a day! Voila!
This last look is a little spunkier with the black denim mini skirt. I went for grey tones with everything else-grey hooded pea coat, grey suede booties, and a grey suede biker bag.
Which look was your favorite? Thanks for stopping by and I really hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know if this is something you’d like me to do more of!
