Hey hey and happy Sunday gang! Hope you’re all doing well today. Charlie and I are heading back to PA today (with my mom in tow!) after a nice weekend with family in North Carolina. Friday we got to celebrate Charlie’s grandmother’s 90th birthday and it was such a lovely time! Yesterday we celebrated my dad and nephew’s birthdays (whose birthdays are today and tomorrow!)! Tons of April birthdays in our families. 🙂 And we don’t mind one bit because it was a great excuse to visit home and spend time with both sides of the fam! Now the real insanity begins for us, though. The whirlwind of buying a house and moving is actually happening. THIS WEEK. I can’t wait for it though! AHHHH!!!
Anyyyyhow, I’ve been super excited about sharing today’s post! I got some great feedback that you guys really enjoyed me sharing multiple ways to style one item, so I’m going to make a habit of doing more of that for you! Starting today with one of this year’s biggest trends-mom jeans. I thought this would be a great way to kick off doing more of this because mom jeans are like a trendy staple if you know what I mean. We all need and wear jeans, so why not have a little fun with making a trendy cut work in multiple ways? My jeans aren’t technically a “mom jean” (they’re the Levi’s Wedgie fit) but I think part of finding the right mom jean for you is knowing that it doesn’t have to be called a “mom jean” because every style fits differently on everyone! SO. Let’s take a look at 3 ways to wear mom jeans for spring, whatever your version of a mom jean may be! 🙂
3 Ways to Style Mom Jeans for Spring: Look 1
SHIRT, similar here, here, and here | JEANS, similar here, almost identical for less here | SHOES (my color is from 2 years ago), also available here, here, and here, same color but slightly different style here | BAG | WATCH | EARRINGS, similar here and here
This first look is a more classic look. It would be great for a casual dinner date or brunch with your gal pals. I just wore a simple, loose fitted button down (not quite oversized) and half tucked it (always) into the jeans to keep a little shape about me. I love this color (also-can we take note of me in color please?!) for spring, but you could do absolutely any color or pattern in the world and it would look great with this classic wash of denim. I wore some of my favorite cognac peep toe bootie sandals with a small heel to keep things feminine. They paired great with my little straw bag which gave the look a real spring feel!

TANK TOP (I recommend sizing up) | JEANS, similar here, almost identical for less here | SHOES, similar here, here, and here | BAG, similar here and here | WATCH | SUNGLASSES | EARRINGS, similar here and here| LIP COLOR
For my second look, I wanted to do something nice and casual-good for a day in the city or sight seeing. So I wore a simple satin cami tucked into the jeans with a pair of matching mules (comfy for walking, of course!). This was a simpler look so I added my fave sunglasses (which I happen to have in 2 different colors because I love them so much, haha) and some fun accessories to spice things up a bit. I carried my favorite little mini cross body bag (it’s seriously perfect for sight seeing/travel/city living/whatever) and added some super cute matching earrings for a small splash of muted color. I’m not usually so matchy matchy but I thought this worked out perfectly!

I wanted to have a little fun with this last look so I spiced up a classic jeans and tee combo. I snagged this tee for $7 back in January. Always shop on sale, my friends! Always! Anyways, all I did was add some black pumps, sparkly earrings, a gold clutch, and a pretty hair clip. And suddenly you have a dressy casual outfit! Butttt, Charlie and I went to dinner after shooting this look and I didn’t want to wear my heels, so I have a BONUS OUTFIT for you guys as I show you how I dressed this exact same look down! All I did was ditch the accessories, trade my shoes out for some mules, grab a more casual bag, and throw a cardigan on! Easy peasy!
Okay you guys, there you have it! Hope you enjoyed 3 ways to style mom jeans for spring. All totally different looks, styles, and occasions, too! Are you guys liking mom jeans or wanting to try the trend out? How do you like to style them?
