Hello hello friends and fam! I hope you’re all ready for a wonderful Thursday. We’re almost to the weekend! Doesn’t get much better than that. This week has been a bit of a rough one for me so I’m just happy to be on the back half of it now. I’m headed to a quick doctor appointment this morning and then have an INSANE amount of work to catch up on. I’m feelin’ motivated to get in the zone though and I always like that productive feeling!
Okay gang, the vacation posts are officially over (although I will be sharing a few more photos in my March roundup on Monday). But that means we’re headed into some slightly more “relevant” spring style… meaning spring outfits that you can wear right now… in early spring. You know… like when it’s too chilly for a tank top and too warm for a coat but you still want to look bright and cheery?
Early spring style can sometimes be a bit daunting because of that awkward in between feeling. Kind of like the awkward feeling of growing out bangs, hah! So today I thought I would share 4 super simple tips for making early spring style a bit easier to pin down.
Early Spring Style Tip 1: Wear Tunics
Tunics are suchhh great pieces to have in your wardrobe for early spring! They’re stylish, can be free spirited, and have a little extra fabric for a little extra warmth if it’s needed.
Early Spring Style Tip 2: Break Out the Mules
Mules (or any flats) are also great for early spring. They’re that perfect shoe for when you don’t need booties but you’re not quite ready to expose the toesies yet. 😉 Woven mules are a bonus because they’re super on trend for spring 2019!
Early Spring Style Tip 3: Accessorize with Straw and Rattan
Straw hats, rattan bags, whicker earrings… if it’s straw or rattan, wear it! If you’re wearing long sleeves and pants and wanting to give the outfit a springy feel, straw and rattan accessories are, hands down, the easiest way to do it! They also happen to be my personal favorite way to do it. 😛
Early Spring Style Tip 4: Long Sleeve Floral Print
Floral print tends to be a year round print… it just varies in colors and tones depending on the season. But, no questions asked, it’s always most popular in spring and summer. If you’re still in long sleeves (I know I am), try going for a long sleeve floral print top to brighten up an otherwise seasonless top!
That’s all I got for ya! I hope you found these tips helpful and easy to implement some early spring style in your own closet. 🙂 Thanks so much for reading today and I can’t wait to see you again on Sunday!
