What’s up everybody?! What’s everyone got going on for the holiday weekend? Apparently Charlie and I operate backwards because we just got back home yesterday evening! We’re already unpacked and settled back in with Aspen. We missed that puppers! But reality kicks back in for me tomorrow, so it’s nice to have today to rest and unwind with my two guys. Even though vacation is relaxing and fun, I always feel like I need to rest when I get back home, haha. I guess it’s a combination of traveling and not sleeping in my own bed. Anyhow… vacation with our families was wonderful! Never enough time, but we’ll take what we can get. I’ll have a vacay recap up for Thursday’s post! In the mean time, here’s my last beach look… a little 70’s nautical style!
Okay, so I’ll confess. This was not on my planned list of outfits to be shot at the beach… but we went shopping one day when it was raining and I saw this skirt and couldn’t leave the store without it. So, this 70’s nautical inspired look was born! I thought it would be perfect to pair this white button down denim skirt with a red striped top. The white button down skirt and red stripes, of course, are very nautical. But I wanted 70’s nautical style rather than preppy, so I thought the fitted OTS top would help ease up on that a bit.
Again, to keep things less preppy and more nautical, I went with tobacco suede lace up block heels and round sunglasses-both very 70’s vibes. Also, can we please make note of the strategic location of this shoot? A dock. With boats. Does it get anymore nautical? #nailedit 😛
Do you guys like 70’s trends or nautical style for summer? To be honest, neither of those actually fit my style very well, but the combination of the two actually really does in a unique way! I love finding a way to put my own spin on styles that wouldn’t otherwise fit my personality. What’s a way that you’ve done that before? Aaaany who! Hope everyone has a wonderful, fun, and safe Fourth of July weekend! Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed!
