I hope everyone’s had a great weekend! Don’t they always go by way too fast? Today I’m headed into the city for the PHLbloggers Blog Connect and I’m so flippin’ excited! There was a fantastic kick off party last night and it was so awesome to meet some of my new Philly blogger friends in person! Today is all about learning to how to be a better blogger and I’m really excited to learn some new things so I can make The Savvy Camel as awesome as possible for you guys! On another note, I’m headed back to work part-time tomorrow after being out for a little over a month, so that’s also exciting! I’m looking forward to getting back into somewhat of a routine and seeing all of my awesome coworkers again.
One of my favorite things about fashion is the endless amount of possibilities. In this case, I had fun adding dressy pieces to casual style. I’ve always thought there was something elevated about wearing a really casual look that’s styled with dressier accessories.
I kept this look crisp and springy with lighter neutrals. I’ve been in love with these light washed relaxed jeans since I got them. They style so well and can obviously be dressed down and up. I wore one of my favorite layered tees with them. The soft blush and light denim make for a chic spring pallet. My tee is actually from last year at LOFT (this one was from their amazingly comfortable Lou & Grey collection) but I linked some other casual blush tops that I’m loving! (Side bar… LOFT is having an amazing flash sale right! HAPPY-GO-SHOPPING! 40% off Everything Use Code: GETHAPPY. Offer valid 4/21 12a EST – 4/23 11:59p EST)
With such soft colors, I went with neutral shoes and accessories. This is where I added some dressier pieces to the look! I’m a little bit obsessed with these amazing Valentino dupes! They look so good, they’re so comfortable, and I love the kitten heel! I also added this cute little quilted crossbody bag. This is the perfect size bag for travel or city walking—fits just the essentials and looks so stylish.
Finished the look off with my favorite rose gold watch, some pretty bracelets, and—as always—a fun pair of sunnies. What fun combos do you like to style together? Do you also enjoy adding dressier pieces to casual style? Thanks for reading! Hope you all have a great Sunday!
