Happy Sunday ya’ll! How has everyone’s weekend been? Friday night, I went out to dinner with a couple of my friends from work to celebrate my birthday (I celebrate for at least a week, hahaha) and yesterday, Charlie and I went into the city to do some blog shoots. Before that, though, we met up my fave local Philly photographer to do a shoot with her for an awesome series she’s launching! Can’t wait to share a little more of that with you guys later in the week. I’m super excited to be collaborating with her on her new series!
The weather was beaaautiful yesterday! We had the perfect day for shooting. I’m so glad the weather is cooling down and that it’s finally time for fall! We actually shot this look a couple of weeks ago, but it seemed fitting to share it as the temps cool off because this is definitely gonna be the last shorts look of the year. So, without further adieu, here’s to bidding adieu to summer!
I really enjoyed this super casual look! It was perfect for the last few weeks of weather because it was still warm enough to wear shorts. But of course I couldn’t resist fall-ing it up with a big jacket and some booties. Not sure what the weather’s like where you’re at, but here in the Philly area, it’s cooled down considerably in the last week. So I’m officially packing my shorts away for the year (and I ain’t even mad about it).
My favorite thing about fall fashion is the endless possibilities of layers. So of course I had to start that as early on as possible. I wanted to keep things super simple and super casual so I wore a pair of distressed white shorts (we shot this before Labor Day but honestly… I where white pants all year! #rulebreaker) and an oversized moss green t-shirt. I added the trucker style denim jacket to sneak in a layer while keeping the oversized look goin’. And of course some flat cognac booties and a matching bag. You guys may have realized this, but I love love love mixing my neutrals. Taupe and grey, black and cognac-it really just gives added dimension, style, and more possibilities!
Have you guys finally retired your shorts, too? Hope you’re as excited for fall and the fashion that comes along with it as I am! Hehe.
