Heeeey peeps! Happy Sunday! Charlie and I are in route to the beach today! WOO! Can’t wait for some time relaxing in the sun and catching up with his parents. I love going to the beach with his family! 🙂 Anyone else vacationing this week? We thought vacation was never going to get here, haha. We’ve both been so stinkin’ busy the last two weeks so we’re super excited the time is finally here!
I’m lovin’ this little black linen dress (LBLD?? hehe) from Old Navy for summer time! It’s so easy and versatile-oh, and affordable, too! It can work for so many different occasions depending on how you style it. I styled it casually here for you guys, but you could wear it with a strappy or lace up pair of heeled sandals and a straw clutch for a date night or nicer occasion!
I wanted to dress it down here because you know we keep it laid back over here at TSC so I kept it casual with a black fedora. Hats typically dress things down, unless we’re talking like, derby hats or embellished hats like the Queen wears, haha. And you guys know I love mixing black and brown (it just opens up so many more options!) so I carried a light beige straw bucket bag with brown handles and wore a pair of flat brown sandals to match the handles of the bag and pull it all together.
Besides being versatile, the other thing that’s great about this black linen dress is that it’s flattering for most body types! It cinches at the waist, which is flattering on anyone. It is a midi-dress which can sometimes be hit or miss on the petite ladies, but ya never know unless you try! It can also work for most ages depending on how you style it! I love the details of the ruffled sleeve because it makes it so girly and fun, but if you like things to be more conservative, you can always wear a dressy flat black sandal to keep it nice and simple! 🙂
What do you all think of this black linen dress? Is this something you would wear? Would you be more likely to dress it up or dress it down?
