Hey hey gang! Nice to see you guys two days in a row. 😉 I guess I don’t have a ton to report over here considering I just talked with you all yesterday. We’re finally starting to feel like we’re making some progress on settling into the house which is really nice. Heading out for another day of running errands today, though. It seems like we’ll be moving along with unpacking and such and then hit a road block because we realize we need XYZ in order to make something work. So it’s been kind of a stop and go process. But that’s not such a bad thing because it’s nice to get a break from it here and there. Plus my mom is still in town so I feel less guilty about always working at the house, hehe. She needs to have a little fun while she’s here.
Although, part of errand running today is a doctor appointment so that’s not as much fun. I’m happy to report that I’m actually starting to feel a lot better though! Although, I still have really low energy levels because I’m anemic and iron deficient as a result of my flare. So today’s appointment is to start getting iron infusions to hopefully solve for my lack of energy! I swear Crohn’s is just a domino effect sometimes. 😛

When I found this black satin midi skirt, I felt like it was one of those skirts that’s perfect for any and every girl. It’s so incredibly versatile in that a) you can dress it up or down and b) it works for so many different styles. I also feel like a good swing skirt is flattering on just about any body type because it cinches the waist but flares in all the right places!
I decided I wanted to style the skirt in a dressier way. It is a satin material so it’s easier to dress up than down. Although, like I said, still totally able to dress it down (I say go all the way and wear a pair of sneakers with it!) Anyways, I decided to wear a blush satin off-the-shoulder top to keep things feeling chic and flowy. (I also styled this top here with ripped jeans).
I wore a pair of strappy black heels for some added flare and carried a classy black quilted bag. I think mixing classic, edgy, and sassy pieces is key to being stylish & trendy while still being classic! I accessorized with a silver boyfriend watch, some simple but bold silver disc earrings, and a fun hot pink lip for a pop of color and sass!
Do you guys think a fun but classic piece like this is a great addition to your wardrobe? How would you style this skirt?! I feel like it has endless possibilities!
