How’s everyone’s week been going? Good, I’m hoping! I’ve been having car troubles since this time last week and I’m finally heading in today to pick my car up. Looking forward to emptying out my pockets for this… not. Haha. Anyone else hate having to dish out money for things that you have absolutely no choice but to do so for? It’s such a bummer. But I guess that’s life as an adult, huh? Haha.
Last night, Charlie and I got to go to the Philadelphia Union vs. Columbus Crew soccer game with some of his friends from work. You may be surprised by this, but I’m not much into sports (sarcasm, haha). I try sometimes, I really do, but it’s just not my thing. I still enjoy going to sporting events, though. It’s always great to spend time with people and see how passionate everyone gets! Our team sportsed hard last night and won the game, so everyone left happy. 🙂
You guys may remember a post from a while back, but something that I really enjoy doing with my style is mixing super casual pieces with dressier pieces. I really like the contrast and balance of this. That’s what I did with this look. I wore this pretty, feminine blush off the shoulder top with distressed white denim. The satin material and color of the top pair so well with the light, loose fitting and distressed denim.
This look had to lean a bit more dressy though because the top is just too pretty not to dress up! So, I wore a simple pair of taupe block heels and kept the accessories fairly minimal. I carried my grey canteen bag (which, again, is my current fave and you’re probably going to get sick of seeing it… sorry hehe), some cute silver drop earrings, and a good boyfriend watch.
Do ya’ll like mixing your casual pieces with dressy pieces too? It always gives you more styling options and makes your look a bit more unique!
