Hello and happy Sunday friends and fam! Hope everyone’s doing well today! Can you believe we’re a week away from April? Time’s been slipping away from me lately, which I feel like shouldn’t be the case since I’ve been out of work for the last couple of weeks. But there is just a ton of stuff going on in life for me right now-between my flare, a quick trip to NC coming up, and then our big move! It just feels like the lists keep growing and never ending. But it’s a super exciting time so it’s hard to complain too much. And even though on one hand it seems like bad timing to be flaring right as we’re in the process of moving, it’s been really nice to have that to look forward to. 🙂 MY goodness am I excited! It can’t come soon enough!

So a few fun things to point out about this outfit. 1) As you can see, there’s snow on the ground. So to answer your question, yes, I froze my butt off taking these, hahaha (peep the goose bumps in the close up of the necklace). Trying to get ahead of the curve on spring style when you live in the northeast is proving to be quite the challenge. 2) I had very bohemian style for a brief time period in my life. I’m talking paisley maxi skirts, not so much as blow drying my hair kind of style. Hey, we live and we learn, haha. But every now and then that side of me does still like to come out and play and I felt like this outfit was a fun mix of my old and new style.
I saw this skirt… well, actually it’s a skort which a) I think is becoming a thing again and b) I ain’t even mad about because this girl feels a little vulnerable when certain items have shorter hemlines, hehe. Anyways, I saw this skort and absolutely loved it! Totally different from anything in my closet but I could think of 5 different ways to wear it before I even ordered it! I was originally going to showcase it in a more casual way (think oversized sweater and loafers) but when Bijoux by Catherine and I partnered up and she sent me this super pretty handmade necklace, I knew I wanted to style the two things together!
I kept things chic yet boho with a simple ivory satin cami, an olive green duster, and taupe OTK boots. The necklace brought out the bohemian side of the look, but in a very subtle way, which I loved. This is the second of 3 super pretty pieces that Catherine sent me and I’ve loved every single one of them! They’ve all been a perfect mix of boho, chic, classy, and trendy! I’ll be showing you guys some earrings from her on Thursday, but don’t forget you can still get 20% off your order of $20 or more with the code: thesavvycamel!
