Hey hey y’all! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend so far! I am POOPED! I haven’t been this tired in a long time! Charlie and I worked our patooties off to get the house ready to put on the market, we’ve slowly started the packing process and now we’re on the tiring journey of trying to find a place to live in Florida. It’s not easy trying to find a place to live when you don’t really know the area. We did the same thing when we moved from NC to PA, though, so I’m confident we’ll be able to do it again. 🙂 What are you guys up to this weekend?
I know I just said this like 2 weeks ago in this post, but this is a top 5 favorite outfit of mine that I’ve styled for you guys! I guess I’ve been feelin’ on a roll lately, ha! Leopard print has been a favorite of mine for the better part of a year or two now. I have leopard print tops, skirts, pants, shoes, headbands and dresses. But I didn’t have a pair of leopard print shorts… until recently that is.
I love these leopard print shorts from American Eagle for a few reasons. First, they’re flowy – I don’t usually like shorts that are a super tight to my thigh. Second, they’re a great length – I don’t like booty shorts but I also don’t like granny shorts. Aaaand third, the color! They’re more of a taupe and charcoal color which is a nice change of pace from the usual brown and black leopard print.
The material of these leopard print shorts along with the ruffle hem make them super easy to dress up. But, in my stubborn nature, I decided I wanted to dress them a bit more casually. I paired them with a charcoal colored boyfriend t-shirt to bring out some of the cooler tones in the shorts and to keep them super laid back.
But, I didn’t want things to feel too grungy so I decided to give things a summery flare. I wore my straw boater hat, knit sandals, carried my straw handbag and wore a sleek pair of shades. These final touches kept things summery and chic without dressing things up.
So, what do you guys think of this outfit? Is it a top 5 for you as well or am I just way to into myself lately? Hahah! I sincerely hope you enjoyed and a got a little leopard short inspiration seeing as how they’re super trendy right now! Either way, thanks a million for reading today!
