Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you’re all spending the day with friends, family, or someone you love. And eating tons of yummy food of course. I truly love Thanksgiving feasts. Ever since Charlie and I moved to Pennsylvania, we’re not able to make it home for Thanksgiving. As much as I hate not being with our families, we choose to save any time we have to get back to NC for Christmas. But I honestly love spending a quiet turkey day with my hubby. It’s just special somehow.
Besides, if you caught my Instastories, you saw that I helped with our holiday install at work last night so I got home suuuper late and will definitely be soaking up this restful day with Charlie. This year I got home around 3:30AM because I left before everything was finished, but last year I was a part of the team so I stayed until about 6:30AM when everything was done. I’m hoping they get home a bit earlier this year! I will say that I really appreciate Nordstrom allowing us to be home with our families on Thanksgiving. We don’t open for Black Friday until Friday either, so we really do get to enjoy the holiday.
This is a great casual Thanksgiving outfit. I tend to prefer going a little more casual but still festive for this holiday and I really felt like this look pulled those two things together. The jeans and simple tee make things casual, but throwing the sweater duster and rust colored scarf on make things feel very fall and Thanksgiving-y.
I wanted to keep things fairly simple since the scarf was so bold so I wore a pair of low heel white pump mules and carried a cognac crossbody bag. I wore a cognac belt to match the bag and to help break up the white tee and ivory vest a bit. What types of outfits are you guys wearing today? Something festive and fall like? Dressy or casual? Hope you enjoyed my casual Thanksgiving outfit! Even though I’m technically in my pj’s. 😛
