Hey hi hello dear friends! What’s everyone been up to this week? So far I’ve had a pretty mellow week. Had a quick doctor visit on Tuesday and, yesterday, I got my hair did. So did Aspen, hehe. I’m so lame because I think it’s so cute when he gets groomed the same day I get a haircut, hahaha. It was also nice to get out of the apartment for a bit. I also stopped by Home Goods because it’s right next to my salon aaaand with the move coming up… well, Home Goods seemed like an opportunity I shouldn’t have passed up, haha.
I was pretty impressed with myself though! I could have easily dropped a butt ton of money that I didn’t have on things that I didn’t need, but I took it easy. My husband will be pleased to know this, hehe. I just got a lamp for my home office (’cause lamps are stupid expensive and Home Goods is easy on the wallet) and a new soap dispenser and tooth brush holder. Pretty mild, right? Considering I saw some wall art, home accents, a wall mirror, an ottoman… things that definitely shouldn’t be at the top of our priority list, haha. I figured… it’s better to have a house first and fill it with pretty things later on. I’m just impatient and want the house to be picture perfect on day one, ha!
I flipped out over these wide leg ivory satin pants back in February and they sold out in a heartbeat (sorry!)… I guess because everyone else flipped out over them too! I linked some similar ones above, though. There’s at least 2 and a half trillion ways you could style these pants, but I decided to go for a super chic spring neutrals kind of vibe! People tend to do monochromatic looks with darker tones, but you can absolutely wear lighter neutrals monochromatically as well! It always feels so lady like to me.
So, for this outfit, I paired a simple light blush silk top and half tucked it for a little dimension and shape. The colors were super similar in tone but had enough difference that it didn’t look like a set. I went with a pair of dressy nude sandals and a simple taupe clutch to keep things looking nice and dressed up. The best thing about chic neutrals, especially in the spring, is that they’re great for work (maybe switch the sandal out for a pump) or for occasions (a baby shower, an Easter lunch, you name it)!
Aaand finally, I accessorized with a silver watch, a mauve lip, and tan tassel earrings. The lip color and earrings give the look a touch of personality without taking away from the chicness of it. Also, how great are these earrings?! These are the final piece that I’m styling from Bijoux by Catherine and I’m obsessed with them! Such a fun statement accessory that could go with anything! Also, one final reminder that you can get 20% off your order of $20 or more if you use the code “thesavvycamel”! I’ve loved all of her pieces so much!
Alright friends and fam, that’s it for today. My take on chic spring neutrals. 🙂 Hope you enjoyed the look! And perhaps it gave you an idea for Easter rather than going the traditional Easter dress route. Although, who doesn’t love a good Easter dress? Hehe. Thanks so much for reading today you guys! Tons of love!
