Hello hello and happy Sunday everyone! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend. Charlie and I are back home in Pennsylvania while everyone back home in NC is doing really well and on the mend. Despite that, I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye. It’s times like these that make the distance between my family and me really difficult. Anywho, I wasn’t even supposed to be in PA today. I was supposed to be reporting to you from the middle of the ocean on a cruise ship. 😉 We cancelled our family cruise so that we could go later when everyone is healthy and we can all enjoy the vacation together and I wouldn’t have done that any other way. 🙂
STRIPED SWEATER, same style different color here, also available here, similar here | WHITE JEANS | CAMEL COAT (limited sizes avaialbe, on sale for $80), similar here, here, here and here | WHITE PUMPS (c/o Amazon) | BAG, similar here and here | GREY BERET (only $13)
I snagged this sweater on sale just before Christmas and it sold out crazy fast. But the same sweater is available in white and camel and I actually kind of want that one, hehe. Anywho, this sweater is a great piece because it’s versatile and classic and, as y’all know, those are two of my favorite qualities in a piece of clothing.
This is a great piece for styling an easy chic winter outfit for you all. I wanted it to be easy to recreate this look and also easy to implement some alternatives so I kept things fairly simple. And don’t mistake simple for boring. I’m a true believer that sometimes less is more.
I knew I wanted to pull out the camel stripes with my camel coat so I started with that. I’ve really been liking lighter tones this winter so I paired everything with white skinny jeans and white pumps. But I didn’t want the grey stripes to feel out of place so I added a grey beret to complete the look.
Some alternative options:
- wear a plain grey sweater instead of a striped one
- wear camel or nude shoes instead of white ones
- wear black jeans and black pumps instead of white
What do you guys think of this chic winter outfit idea? What are some ways you would style a similar look from your own closet?
