Merry Christmas Eve gang! I can’t believe it’s here! I know Christmas Eve isn’t a huge deal for everyone, but my side of the family goes hard for Christmas Eve y’all, haha. We have a tradition of having a nice dinner and then playing these crazy goofy games that will make you laugh your bum off. We compete for prizes and I have a super competitive family so it can get intense, haha. Luckily my mom, who’s probably the most competitive next to Charlie ;), is always the game commissioner so she just makes fun of everyone else the whole time! It’s truly a blast. Tomorrow we’re headed over to Charlie’s parents to celebrate Christmas with his side of the family! I’m super excited to see everyone tomorrow and for a big delicious breakfast! I love getting to be apart of the Hodges family and their traditions now too. What are y’all’s Christmas traditions? Seriously, drop a comment below because I’d love to hear them!
Iiiii die over this skirt. I’m not usually a sparkly person, but I guess the holidays are bringing it out in me! I fell in love with this skirt when I first saw it but I was like “when on earth would I ever wear a green sequin skirt?” But then it struck me. It would make a perfect Christmas outfit! Hehe. And honestly the better question is “when would I not wear a green sequin skirt?” Hahaha.
I wanted to keep the skirt as festive as possible for the holidays so I went all out. I wore a cozy white turtleneck with a faux fur scarf over it. But of course it’s a Christmas outfit so gold booties and a gold clutch seemed totally appropriate for the occasion, right? I popped in my favorite gold drop earrings in, put on a festive red lip, and I was feeling fabulous. I literally told Charlie “I feel so fabulous in this!” Hahaha.
I’d really been wanting a pair of gold booties for whatever reason, so the fact that these were a killer deal and perfect for the holidays meant I had to go for them. I’ll definitely wear them other than just holidays, but I thought it would be fun to show you guys how I’m planning on styling these gold booties and the gold clutch again for New Year’s Eve. If you’re buying statement pieces for the holidays, it’s always nice to get things that you can use for multiple occasions! So be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram for a sneak peak at my NYE look a little later on this week, and of course it will be on the blog next week!
Well y’all, thank you so much for popping by on a holiday! I truly wish everyone the merriest of Christmases! I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating with your family and friends! Tons of love!
