So, I’m going to be honest with you guys and tell you that I haven’t been reading as much as I would like to lately. But some friends of mine at work recommended Where’d You Go Bernadette by Maria Semple (I know, what rock have I been living under? Old news) and it’s gotten me back into it! I finished this one in no time! It’s so cute and pulls you in so quickly! I also just cracked open The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins and I’m already loving it! Don’t judge, I told you I’m behind! But I’m working to catch up on all the good stuff!
Isn’t there something about a nice, quiet afternoon spent buried in a great book? I love going to the clubhouse at our apartment complex to relax and read. It’s just a nice change of scenery without the hassle of having to go somewhere. I wore this super casual, comfy, and stylish outfit to the clubhouse one day while Charlie watched soccer and I read my book. Nothing better than a chunky sweater and distressed jeans!
This look is perfect for running errands, having company over on a Sunday afternoon, or anything else that you want to be comfy for but still be super stylish! I love love love this pink, slightly oversized chunky sweater from ASOS. It’s so comfy and cute, y’all. And, as I prefer most of my wardrobe to be, it’s easy to style in different ways.
For this look I paired it with my favorite distressed jeans. In case you missed me rave about them in this post, understand that I am obsessed with these jeans. I searched so hard for a pair of jeans like this so when I finally found these it was like a match made in heaven. (Is it too intense to say that about denim? No? Okay, I didn’t think so.) I just wore my cute and simple taupe booties to pull it all together. Taupe is one of my all time favorite neutrals because it goes with absolutely everything!
I also wore my new Fossil watch that I love! Guys, you can change the strap out on this watch (you can also change the clasps to match whatever metal the face is). So you can have as many watches as you want with this one! (I have a black strap, too, but definitely plan on adding more to my collection!) I love this bone leather with the rose gold face, though. It’s such a feminine play on a leather watch. And if you’re like me and have ridiculously tiny wrists, the thin leather strap still looks nice and classy!
How do you guys like to keep it casual but still nice and stylish? I feel like you can never go wrong with a great chunky sweater and distressed jeans! It’s a classic. Oh, and please let me know if you’re interested in a book review of either of these books! I highly recommend Where’d You Go Bernadette and I’m pretty sure I’ll have the same opinion about The Girl on the Train when I’m finished with it, too!
