Hello and happy Thursday lovely people! Not sure if you noticed or not, but my post is coming at you about 6 hours later than normal. And I’m gonna be honest with you, it’s because I’m a hot mess right now. I’ve been super distracted all week while somehow managing to also be really busy. So today’s post got neglected until the last minute. So last minute that it’s past due. 😛 Life just goes that way sometimes, though. I ebb and flow with having my posts done a week and a half ahead of time to doing them the day before. This is a first for doing it the day of though.
It’s okay though, I got a new essential oil that’s supposed to help with focus – and so far it definitely has. On the one hand I’m like “I still have so much to catch up on” but on the other hand I’m like “well, I’m finally making a dent in my to-do list and that’s what counts.” Gotta give yourself a little grace sometimes. Although, I don’t feel like I deserve it right now because I literally on my blog from home full time now so I think it’s time to stop with the excuses. #realtalk Today’s going much better though and I’m getting back on track. 🙂
I got these white linen shorts a while back because I honestly didn’t own very many pairs of shorts so I had been on the hunt to add to my collection. I’m super picky about shorts because I don’t like them to be too short OR too tight. I don’t know why that is, but I don’t like shorts to hug my legs. So anyways, I found these on SheIn and they were only $18 so I figured they would be a great addition! And they were! They’re a great length, nice and flowy, and super stylish!
I felt like these were classy white linen shorts because they’re so crisp, have the feminine bow, and are a bit dressier with the subtle pleats. So I decided to lean into the classy feel and dress things up to be nice and lady like. I started by pairing a blue ruffle top with the shorts. The ruffle sleeves are the epitome of feminine and I love the bow on the back of the top. It balances out the bow on the front of the shorts and gives the back of the outfit a little something special!
I wanted to keep things nice and bright because that added to the classy factor so I paired a simple pair of white summer booties with the outfit and carried my straw tote. Aaaand I added a dressy pair of white tassel earrings to finish things off for a bright, feminine, simple, and classy outfit that’s perfect for summer.
Hope you guys enjoyed this outfit and got a little inspo to dress your white shorts up for a fancier and classy type of look! 🙂 Thanks for reading! Xoxo.
