Hey everybody! I hope you’re all having a great week so far. Can you believe that it’s already August?! How the heck did that happen? I feel like the summer has absolutely flown by. I’ll be the first one to tell you that summer is probably my least favorite season-not a lover of the heat, this one. But I’ll be honest and say that this year I’m kind of bummed to see it start to wind down. I’ve been enjoying my sun tan and bare legs. But who am I kidding, I know that as soon as the weather starts to cool off that fall is gonna have my heart again. Fall is by far my favorite season! You don’t have to sweat, you don’t freeze your bum off, and obviously the fashion is my fave. Would I even be a fashion blogger if that didn’t factor into why I love a season? Haha!
And speaking of the fact that it’s August, in case you missed Tuesday’s post, I did a July roundup and also showed you what I actually ended up purchasing in the #nsale. Just your millionth reminder from the millionth blogger that the sale ends Sunday. Get it while the gettin’s still good! (Did my southern roots just make an appearance? Hehe.)
This is such a super simple look, but sometimes it’s nice to not have a million accessories, layers, or bold pieces and just, well, keep it simple. I paired this color block satin cami with olive slides, girlfriend jeans, and minimal accessories. When I first showed you this look on Instagram, I mentioned that I don’t do a ton of bold colors in my wardrobe. When I do wear color, it’s typically pretty muted-olive, blush, burgundy, soft blues. So this cami-being both olive and blush-definitely appeals to my preferred color palette.
I don’t typically do the matchy matchy thing, but these olive slides went way to well with the cami not to tie it all together. I wanted to keep things fairly dressed down so I wore some relaxed girlfriend jeans. But this top would definitely be easy to dress up! (I want to wear it with a white blazer, black skinnies, and some pumps. Super cute, yeah?) For this look though, I kept things a little less crisp, so I topped everything off with a rose gold boyfriend watch, some fun rose gold tassel earrings, and a miniature quilted cross body bag.
Hope you guys liked this simpler look. It’s nice to remember that you don’t have to go crazy everyday in order to be stylish!
