SIX GOALS I HAVE FOR MARCH
1. Eat More Fruit
This might sound simple, but I want to start eating more fruit. I eat a reasonably healthy diet. I’m not a health nut but, in general, my meals provide a fair amount of nutrition. I haven’t been the best snacker lately though. I would say that’s okay except I eat like a bird and snack all day long so it’s kind of a large portion of my diet, heh. I want to slowly get better at the snacks I choose so I want to start by eating actual fruit instead of fruit flavored gummies. 😛
2. Go to Bed Earlier
I’m a night owl through and through but I want to start going to bed a bit earlier so that I can get my days started earlier in the mornings. As someone with an autoimmune disease, I need a bit more sleep than the average bear so every hour really counts! For a while I was doing a great job with my sleep routine but you slowly start to slip back into old habits and before ya know it you’re right back to staying up until 1am and wondering why you can’t peel your eyeballs open in the morning.
3. Continue Working Out Regularly
It may seem silly to say that it’s a goal to just keep doing something, but I’ve been really diligent with my workout schedule lately and I really want to stick to it! I’ve been proud of myself and I’ve been feeling great as a result of regular exercise so I want to keep truckin’ on with that. 🙂
4. Work Less at Night
This is kind of a two-fold goal for me. I have been so bad about working at night lately. A lot of that is due to me biting off more than I can chew but it’s also due to me just not being focused lately. So I want to get better at saying “no” to things and I also want to get my hiney in gear and focus a little bit better. That way my work is finished and I’m able to, oh, I don’t know, spend time with my husband at night. 😉
5. Get Back to Weekly Tech-Free Nights with Charlie
Similarly, I want to get back to having one night a week with Charlie that’s completely technology free. We used to do this religiously and have been awful about it for… honestly like the last year. I really want to get back to doing that with him because it’s such an awesome way to unplug and spend true quality time together.
6. Do the Laundry Before it Gets Out of Control
This is another one that might seem a bit silly but I’d love to get a handle on the laundry situation in our house, haha. Charlie does the dishes and I do the laundry… that’s just kind of how it goes. But I’ve always been bad about waiting until the laundry is falling out of the hamper before I get around to doing it. And then I end up having to do like 6 loads in one day and I hate that! I need to be a little more on top of things there. 😛
What are some goals you have this month? Do you set monthly goals for yourself? I don’t always set monthly goals like this but I’ve just been feelin’ like a hot mess lately and know that there are some simple changes I can make to start feeling a little more in control of things. Besides, most of these goals are getting back to old and better behaviors, so I know I can do it because I’ve done it before, ya know?
