Hello hello you guys! What’s up?! Between last week’s additional roundup post and this week’s Style Crush post, I feel like we’ve been hanging out a lot and I kinda love it! I’ve actually had a hard time narrowing down my ideas for content for the next month and a half because there’s so much I’m excited about and think you guys will enjoy! Totally not a bad problem to have but I just can’t ask my sweet hubby to take even more photos for me. He already does way too much as it is! Also, if I don’t say it often enough, he is the most amazing man in the world and truly my number 1 supporter. I think he believes in me more than I believe in myself sometimes and I really, truly couldn’t do this without his help. He just needs a shoutout from time to time. 😀
On an entirely different note, ATTENTION PHILLY LADIES, this is for you! Not sure if you follow along on Instagram, but last week I announced that I am co-hosting a LOFT style party with fellow Philly blogger, Chelsea Finn of Organized Mess. The event will be from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, June 19th at the LOFT on Walnut Street in Philadelphia! We’ll be giving away a few prizes, snacking on some munchies, and of course shopping! 😉 If you want to come, you can RSVP by sending me an email (email@example.com), filling out the form at the bottom of this blog post, or just DMing on Instagram! Would absolutely love if you could make it out so I could meet some of you beautiful people in person and hang out! 😀
Anyways, back to our regularly scheduled programing… 😉
I got these $11 floral shorts (yes, eleven dollars!) back in like, I dunno, March? Spring fever hit early, they were only $11 and they were super cute so they just ended up in my shopping cart, ya know? Hehe. Aaanyways, I’m super excited that it’s finally warm enough to wear these cute little babies! I’m not sure if you’re familiar with soft shorts or not, but I’m a huge fan! Not only are they super adorable and stylish, but they are sooo comfy! These soft floral shorts are gonna be so great for hot, busy, or just laid back days this summer. The only disclaimer here is that these are a bit breezy, so I would recommend full coverage undies underneath, ha!
The floral shorts are feminine yet casual, so that’s exactly how I wanted to style them! I wore a blush button up cami from Topshop to pull out the softer pinks in the shorts. To keep things laid back and easy breezy, I paired my favorite brown Free People sandals with the look. This tied in the brown buttons on the cami and kept things from feeling harsh. And of course I carried my cute little straw bag. Are you guys sick of seeing this bag yet? ‘Cause I’m sorry to say but we’re just getting started, haha.
I actually didn’t do any accessorizing other than my watch. I never go anywhere without a watch so you can always expect that. 😉 But the outfit was just enough on its own that it didn’t need any accessories. The pattern on the shorts, the buttons on the cami, and the texture of the bag were all that was needed!
What do you guys think of soft shorts? Aren’t they the easiest way to be stylish and comfy?! I think they’re the best! I want to dress these shorts up too. How would you guys dress them up? 🙂
If you want to attend the LOFT style part on Tuesday, June 19th, you can fill out this form to let me know you’ll be attending! 🙂
