Happy Sunday lovely people! Hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend so far! We took a slight break from house stuff yesterday and headed into Philly to fiiiinally shoot some new content! I’ve been so stinkin’ behind on blog stuff because of the move. I’ve been scrambling and getting everything done last minute, so I’m trying to get back on top of things this week. Gonna be spending some time rebuilding my calendar today! Plus, I’m hoping it will be easier to create content if spring ever decides to stick around the greater Philadelphia area. I think I’m solely responsible for the return of winter after last weekend’s beautiful weather. I just had to open my mouth and jinx things!
You guys know I’m a huuuuge LOFT fan. I somehow overlooked this kimono a while back but, thankfully, Thenia from Pearls & Brandy posted about it so I didn’t miss out completely! Naturally I had to snatch one up for myself, hehe. It’s the perfect floral kimono for spring! I also love that it adds some color to my wardrobe without being overwhelmingly bold. Aaand, I felt like this was an appropriate floral look with today being Earth Day!
Kimonos are generally bolder pieces, so I usually like to keep the rest of the outfit fairly simple when I wear them. For this outfit, I went with a white on white look underneath with a simple white tank and white skinny jeans. The white needed to be broken up a bit though, so I wore a cognac belt along with a pair of matching sandals. My straw bag matched the cognac tones and is perfect for spring so it was a great way to bring everything together.
Who else is loving a good floral kimono for spring? They’re a fun layering piece to spice up a simple outfit from time to time. I could also picture this one over a casual LBD, ripped jeans and a tee, or an olive tank with black jeans. So many options with one fun piece! Hope you guys enjoyed today’s look! As always, thanks for stopping by and reading!
