Well you guys, I have some news to share with you. I’ve decided to end my blogging journey so, instead of a normal monthly roundup, I’ll be bidding you all adieu today…
APRIL FOOL’S! Yeah, I really couldn’t come up with anything better… I’m not much of a prankster. My brother pranks people left and right and that is just not a skill set that I seemed to pick up on. And yes, I did just call “pranking” a “skill set.” 😛 I do like to think I’m pretty witty though, so that counts for something, right? Ha! 😉
Anywho, it’s the first day of April (WHAT?!) and that means it’s time for a March roundup! As always, I’m going to kick it off with the 10 most liked images on Instagram during March and then I’m going to share some photos from our cruise at the beginning of the month. 🙂 So let’s dive right on in!

As you guys probably know by now, Charlie and I went on a cruise at the beginning of March to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. We were in serious need of some one-on-one time along with a break from the dreary winter weather so it couldn’t have come at a better time. It went by way too quickly and we still have the post-vacation-blues even though we’ve been home for 3 weeks now.
We sailed on Royal Caribbean‘s Independence of the Seas and it was a beautiful ship that was super easy to learn our way around. Neither of us had ever sailed with Royal Caribbean before and, in general we both really enjoyed everything. 🙂 I think Charlie and I both agreed that it was by far the best entertainment we’ve ever experienced on a cruise. The food, however, was just kind of “meh” to us. It definitely wasn’t bad by any means, it just wasn’t that mind blowing all you can eat vacation food, ya know?
We sailed from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico. The double edged sword of cruising is that you get to visit a lot of places but you don’t really get to see a lot of places. Charlie and I were trying not to spend any extra money outside of the trip itself so we didn’t go on any excursions or anything like that, just did a little exploring.
There’s not a lot to see in Costa Maya as far as we can tell. We were essentially docked at a big shopping terminal but it was nice to browse through the shops. In Cozumel, we just strolled around the city (we didn’t stray too far), grabbed a drink at a little bar on the beach and then found a yummy restaurant where we got some real life enchiladas! 😀
We also enjoyed tons and tons of tropical vacay drinks! 😀 Miami vices galore! And, just a little FYI for any of you traveling to Mexico anytime soon… when you ask for a medium margarita… you get a margarita that’s twice the size of your head. So I recommend order the extra extra small margarita, hah! Neither of us even made a dent in those things but man oh man were they delicious!
So there’s a little snippet of our anniversary trip! We seriously had the best time but these pictures are making me so sad because they just make me want to be sailing around in the sun with my love again, haha! Does anyone have any fun vacation plans coming up soon?! Where are you headed if so? 🙂 Doesn’t matter if you’re jet setting or staying put, I hope each and everyone of you have a wonderful April! Thanks for stopping by today and I’ll see ya again on Thursday! 😉
