Hello hello everyone! How’s everyone’s week been! Sunday was roundup day so I feel like it’s been a while since doing a normal outfit post… even though it’s only been a week, haha. Anyhow, things are starting to get super hectic over here for the little Hodges family. We’re heading to NC to celebrate some birthdays, then we come back, settle and move all within a week! Sooo much exciting stuff happening despite all of the chaos! And looking forward to any excuse to spend with family, even if one of those excuses does involve some heavy lifting… sorry guys. 🙂
You’re definitely seeing things right if you’re wondering about the snow on the ground. It is indeed snow. SOMEONE MAKE IT STOP! PLEASE! I’m ready to dress for spring already… mostly I’m just ready to not always be bundled up. Waaah. Anyways, this is as close as it gets to spring style for me right now. So I thought I’d have some fun with it and show you guys an easy way to go about mixing black and blue denim. A denim jacket is a great way to transition into spring and, even though I don’t mind a good blue denim on blue denim look (JT & Britney, anyone?), I always prefer mixing black and blue denim… or white and blue denim! It just gives you so many more possibilities in my opinion and, as we all know, I’m all about some versatility.
Moving right along… mixing black and blue denim is also super easy if you’re playing around with neutrals. All I did for this look was wear my blue denim jacket and black girlfriend jeans with a white button down, white mules, and a black and white striped bag. There’s no need to get all crazy with it. If you want to spice the look up (as I did and usually do), you can add a nice bold lip and a fun earring! If you do want to have a little more fun mixing black and blue denim, you can always go for cognac or brown shoes, bag, and/or belt. I lovelovelove mixing black and cognac! Throw some blue denim into the mix and we’re really having some fun.
What about you guys? Do you like mixing denims? I feel like it gives casual looks a little more oomph with no added hassle, ya know? Hope you guys enjoyed this transitional look and wanna mix up your denims a bit now! 🙂 Thanks for hopping over today you guys!
