Hey hey and happy Thursday everybod-ay! I hope everyone’s having a wonderful week. It’s been a pretty quiet week around here. Just the normal routine, nothing too exciting. Today I’m trying to make one more dent in my to-do list and then I’m going to spend the day preparing for the closet sale in West Chester tomorrow! If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by The Brow Bar tomorrow from 5pm-8pm for brows, makeup, braids and a little bit of shopping! It’s gonna be an awesome time and I really hope to see ya there! 🙂

Something that I’ve noticed about myself is that when I get excited about something, I tend to get on a big kick with it. Like, during the early part of spring I was super into girly dresses. Well, it seems like now I’m reverting back to my neutral tendencies which means you should brace yourselves for an incoming of neutral outfits. And to kick it off, today I’m sharing a great neutral spring to summer outfit with ya.
Spring to summer are probably the easiest seasons to transition between but there is still a subtle transition… mainly just how much skin is covered. One of my favorite things to do to transition from spring to summer is to wear long sleeves with shorts or mini skirts. Exhibit A: this beige button down that Princess Polly sent me paired with white linen shorts. I also like to wear flats with shorts when it’s still not quite full blown summertime. It’s a great way to get your legs out without feeling like “oops, probably should have checked the weather.” 😛
To make these neutrals work together I added in some contrast and some compliments. I wore my cognac woven mules as a way to bring out the dark brown buttons on the shirt. I then added my wooden handle bag because it’s a perfect match for the shoes. But in order to keep the woven part of the bag from getting lost in translation I threw my trusty boater hat on. You know me and my hats, hehe. I’m not sure if I love hats or neutrals more. 😛
What do you guys think of this neutral spring to summer outfit? I hope you enjoyed it! Simple and neutral really does always end up being my favorite. 🙂 Thanks for reading you guys!
