Happy Sunday lovely people! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend. I’m not sure what the weather has been like where you’re at, but it was 70 beautiful degrees here in the Philly suburbs on Friday and it. was. phenomenal! But then yesterday it dropped back down to 40 and windy and the winter blues kicked right back in, meh. But I’m officially rolling out some images from our vacation so hopefully it can put us all in a warm and sunny mindset. 😛
I’ve had my eye on this cute little orange set from Chicwish for the longest time and I finally got my hands on it recently! I think my favorite thing about it is that it’s a skort. I love that skorts are making a comeback because it gives you the illusion of rocking a sassy miniskirt but you still have the security of full bum coverage. 😉
So, not only do I not wear a ton of color, but orange used to be a color I actively avoided. I never thought it looked very good on me but now I figure, if ya like it, wear it. Life’s too short not to wear a fun outfit that makes you feel sassy! So I branched out and got this bold orange number… even though it comes in blue as well and would have felt like a much safer choice for me! The blue is truly gorgeous though!
The fun thing about a set like this is the number of possibilities. You can obviously style it as a set which is the easiest thing to do (what I did here). I decided to dress it up for dinner on the first night of our cruise with my favorite pair of strappy nude sandals and a matching bag. But you can also split things up and wear them separately. I think that this top would be super cute tucked into a pair of high waisted mom jeans with a pair of white mules as the weather continues to warm up. I also think the skort would be adorable in the summer time with a white tank top and espadrilles!
What do you all think of this little orange set? It’s a little off the beaten path for me but it’s always fun to branch out sometimes. You guys probably appreciate a variation on the norm as well! Hope you enjoyed it and are looking forward to some more vacation styles because they’re comin’ your way!
