Hey hey everybodaaaay! What’s going on?! Charlie and I are officially moved into the new house! What whaaat! All thanks to some pretty freakin’ amazing family and friends who came from near and far to lend us their helping hands. We still have some unpacking and settling-in to do, but we had our first night’s sleep in our new home and we got to break the new grill in and share a meal and some laughs with some awesome people in our place. AND we couldn’t have had more beautiful weather! Spring seems to have finally arrived here in PA and thankfully it came just in time for moving day! Anyways, yesterday was a pretty special day if ya ask me. 🙂 Can’t wait to share the process of decorating and making it all ours with you guys!
I got a pair of short overalls last summer and absolutely loved them so I wanted to get a pair of normal length overalls but struggled to find a pair that fit me how I wanted them to. For some reason, I don’t love the way skinny overalls fit on me butttt I didn’t want a pair that were way too baggy. But when I found these at American Eagle I got super excited because they’re the same fit as my favorite fit of relaxed jeans-the Tom Girl fit! And sure enough they fit exactly how I envisioned.
I wanted to showcase these in a simple but fun way, so I styled the overalls with an OTS top to give it a little sass! The OTS (off the shoulder) top is a great alternative to a normal t-shirt-just spices things up a tad! I wore a simple and classic pair of black wedges and carried my camel satchel. Y’all know I love to mix black and camel. And, again, I wanted to keep things simple and laid back because I felt like the overalls were a statement on their own, so I kept my accessories minimal. I just wore my trusty gold watch and this cute little camel necklace! Fun story: a sweet friend of mine sent me this necklace when I first started my blog (it’s a camel… for The Savvy Camel… get it? 🙂 ) Somehow I don’t think I’ve ever featured it on the blog so I had to share that fun little tidbit!
Who else is into overalls?! I’m lovin’ ’em! Never in a million years did I think I would be wearing overalls in my mid twenties but here we are, hehe. The nineties and early 2000s are definitely making a comeback!
