Hello and happy Thursday dear friends! How is everyone doing so far this week? I’ve been trying to get caught up on work, plan my month out, and get back to my workout routine and it’s all going well so far. Does anyone have fun plans for the weekend? Charlie and I have plans of doing abso. lutely. nothing. and I could not be more excited. We were so busy all of September that we literally planned a weekend to stay home together with no where to go and nothing to do. We both really need some downtime and time together so it’s perfect. Does anyone else love quiet weekends in?
SWEATER (c/o Heartloom), currently out of stock but hoping they will re-stock for you guys, similar here | JEANS (under $50) | SHOES (on sale for $34), similar here | BAG, similar here | BERET, (c/o Smak Parlour) similar here (comes in 8 colors) and here (only $14 and comes in 17 colors) | WATCH, almost identical here | FITBIT BAND
This gorgeous wrap cardigan was the last piece that Heartloom sent me and I hate that it sold out so quickly because it’s so chic, classy, and great for any age. I’m hoping they’ll restock it since it was so popula but I shared a similar style for you guys in the mean time. I’ll be honest, I was kind of struggling with how I wanted to style this cardigan for you guys because I felt like you could do so many unexpected things with it yet nothing felt quite right. That is until I got my first everberet from Smak Parlour. I came home, opened up my closet and was like “bam, that’s it.”
I decided to pair the cardigan and beret together for a Parisian style outfit, something I’ve never done before. I’ve always loved Parisian style but I’ve never felt like I had all of the right pieces to pull it off until recently so it was fun to play around with a different style for a change. The thing about Parisian style is that it’s chic and effortless but like… also not effortless, ya know?
In order to capture all of that, I went for a light palette of mixed neutrals. The cardigan was chic on it’s own so I complimented it with a pair of white skinny jeans. The beret made the outfit unmistakably Parisian inspired and I thought the mixture of the tan with the white and light grey was what gave things that added “effortless but not effortless” feel. You could have easily paired black with the look but the soft tan and nudes kept things feeling light, feminine, and a ever so slightly elevated.
What do you guys think of this look? Did I do okay with my first try at Parisian style? Thanks so much for stopping by today! I’ll see you guys again on Sunday. 🙂
