Happy Thursday friends! Hope you’re all having a wonderful week so far. I’m off to the doctor to have a colonoscopy this morning to see how things are progressing post-flare. It’s actually a really good thing though because, yesterday I was prepping for the colonoscopy, which means I haven’t eaten in 24 hours… so I’m really excited for the procedure because it means I can eat afterwards! Always gotta look on the bright side you guys, hahaha. My parents are also be getting into town tonight. I’m actually excited about that, hehe. My dad will get to see our house for the first time and on Sunday we’re heading into the city for the Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis Philadelphia Walk! I’ve wanted to participate in a Take Steps walk for years and so excited to finally do it!
I had to exchange something at Express Factory a few weeks ago and decided to go a completely different direction when I saw this pink floral maxi dress. SO. PRETTY. It was just one of those impulse buys (sort of… it was an exchange and I only ended up owing $13 :P) because I absolutely couldn’t walk away from it. And I have absolutely no regrets. I don’t have a ton of color in my wardrobe, as you probably know, and I’m always saying I should add more… so voila! Now we have some color!
I love the details on this dress! I love the keyhole front (it’s cut the same way in the back) and the cut out sides! This is a chiffon maxi dress so it’s inherently pretty dressy, but I wanted to make sure I dressed it up nicely so I wore strappy black heels, carried a black clutch, and wore a dressy rose gold watch and matching rose gold hoop earrings.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say you could dress it down, but you can definitely make it less formal! I’m planning to wear it with taupe espadrilles, a straw bag, and my hair up at the beach this summer! Same pink floral maxi dress, totally different vibe. This dress is totally different from anything I own but I’m just in love with it, I’m not even gonna lie to ya. Hope you guys enjoyed the change of pace too! Have a great rest of your Thursday and enjoy the upcoming weekend! Tons of love!
