Hello friends! I hope everyone’s had a wonderful weekend! I totally forgot to tell you guys yesterday that I selected a random survey winner. I’ve emailed her and sent the gift card to her so huge congratulations! 🙂 Just wanted to thank ya’ll one more time for taking the time to take the survey! It really means the world to me that you check out the blog and care enough to take the survey! I definitely plan to put the results to good use for you guys!
SKIRT (literally just sold out yesterday! so sorry!), similar here, here, here, and here | SWEATER, similar here and here | JACKET, exact color sold out so a similar is here | BOOTIES, similar here, here, and here | TIGHTS, similar here and here | BAG, similar here | NECKLACE, similar here | LIP COLOR
This is a dressier look than I typically go for but we all need to get a little dressed up from time to time. This is a good way to be stylish at an office job or for an interview. Although, if you’re at more conservative places, you may want to trade the tights out for some plain black ones. Anyhow, I loved this plaid wrap skirt when I saw it and decided to go for it because it was very different than anything I own. I can wear ripped jeans to work so I don’t have a need for business or business casual clothing, but it’s never a bad idea to have a few of those pieces in your closet. And this skirt is versatile enough that I feel like I could wear it in a dressed down type of way too! Definitely excited to style it in some other ways.
BUT, for this look, I went a bit dressier just because it’s fun to switch it up. I wore a nice fine knit grey sweater layered under a sleek grey suede moto jacket. I’m carrying a nice, classic looking tote and wearing simple black dress booties. The tote is a plum color which spices the look up a bit and of course the tights give it a little extra pizzaz. I kept the accessories minimal with a nice silver layering necklace and a bold but professional lip.
Hope ya’ll enjoyed this dressier/more professional (with an edge) look! Thanks so much for reading! Tons of love!
