Hey hey and happy Thursday! I always like telling you guys about what I’ve been up to, but quite honestly, I don’t really have anything exciting to report, haha. Charlie and I leave for our 2 week vacation next Saturday (holy mess I’m so excited) so I’ve just been trying to get ahead on work so that I don’t have too much to do while we’re at the beach! Next week I’ll get started on packing! I’m a typical and notorious over-packer for a normal length trip… so I’m sure packing for a 2 week vacation is going to be an interesting endeavor. This is also my first vacation since I started blogging, so God forbid I repeat any outfits (and cue the emoji that’s crying laughing… that guy’s in my top 5 favorite emojis). Any other over-packers out there say “aye”! Anyways, what have you guys been up to this week? Anybody else have fun vacations plans coming up soon?
I don’t know why, but I’m so obsessed with this outfit. *pats self on back* Haha, but really, do you ever put together a look and you’re like #nailedit #onpoint? That’s how I felt about this one. It just feels very me. It’s casual but put together, simple, not too fitted, not too billowy, and has some fun personality with that pop of color!
I saw these shoes online, drooled a little bit, lost self control, and hit add to cart. I LOVE these shoes! They’re a nice simple mule but a fun and exciting color. I look horrible in orange (it’s just not my color) so I thought orange on my feet would be a nice way to incorporate the color into my wardrobe! I wanted to showcase these beauties on the blog by making them the center of a look, so I put together this simple, casual look with the cutest statement shoes!
To keep things nice and simple and let the shoes do the talking, I wore my ripped knee black skinnies and a very simple graphic tee. I’ve been wanting to add some graphic tees to my wardrobe but didn’t want anything too crazy-this one fit the description perfectly! I wore my leather watch to keep things casual and thought a soft colored bag would be a nice way to pull a little color into the top of the outfit without distracting from the shoes. And of course, add some good sunglasses and fun earrings to keep things nice and springy! Finally, I topped the look off with a good lip color (color: Bo$$). This is my all time favorite everyday lip color. It’s bold without being too bright or too dark-a great go to!
What do you like to wear as a statement piece in your outfits? And do you usually keep everything else simple when you’re wearing a statement piece? Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed the look as much as I did, haha!
