Happy Sunday gang! Hope everyone’s had a great weekend! Charlie and I have been awful about cooking and eating at home lately. We’ve just been so busy with work and constantly wanting to work on some project around the house so we’ve been neglecting the kitchen. Which also means we haven’t been eating the best. I just find it tough to eat well when I don’t cook at home, especially when I’m overwhelmed! Anyways, we did a massive grocery run on Friday and spent tonsss of time cooking this weekend! I think we cooked 5 different (healthy) meals that made enough leftovers for the entire week! Meal prep saves the day, y’all! Anyone else love to do a ton of cooking all at once so you don’t have to cook every single day?
I’ve already admitted to falling for a lot of trends this spring. Stripes, buttons, and straw being a few of them… and linen being another. I’ve actually never been a huge fan of linen for whatever reason, but it’s grown on me big time over the last year or two! It’s just timeless and classic. Not really sure why I was so resistant to it for so long. Young and dumb, I guess, haha. Anyways, my affection for all of these spring trends is only amplified when they’re combined into something like a super stylish striped linen blazer.
The minute I saw this striped linen blazer I was all heart eyes. It’s neutral, it’s chic, and it’s casual. That’s a win-win-win in my book. I wanted to style it to showcase all of those qualities so I wore it with a slinky nude cami (it’s literally called the “slinky slinky” cami from Free People) to accentuate the chicness of the blazer and paired it with a pair of Gap’s light wash cut offs to keep it casual. I wore a pair of off white sandals because you know I have to throw in as many neutral tones as possible. Andddd once again I carried the world’s cutest straw bag because I’m obsessed with straw bags right now, hehe.
What are some spring trends you’re loving? Are you a fan of striped linen blazers right now too? Or just linen blazers in general?
