Good morning and happy Sunday friends! I hope you’ve all had an absolutely wonderful weekend so far! Friday, Aspen and I both got our hair cut (head to my Instagram to see the big change!) and then I took pictures for some friends of mine. 🙂 Yesterday, Charlie and I were supposed our first trip to the shore since living up here. We were just supposed to go for the day but the weather was crap so that didn’t work out. I was bummed because I’ve really been craving some sunbathing time, hehe. I’m also finally getting used to referring to it as “the shore” instead of “the beach.” Isn’t it interesting how different terminology can be, even just states apart? I’m such a nerd but I think language, dialects, and phraseology is so fascinating! I’ve noticed how dynamic it really is and how much it can vary since moving to PA. I love it! Trust me… “ya’ll” is a dead giveaway that I’m not originally from here. 😛
SUMMER SWEATER (already a slouchy fit, but I sized up for a super oversized look – wearing size small for reference) | SHORTS, similar here | SHOES (c/o Franco Sarto), also available here and here | BAG, similar here | WATCH | EARRINGS (from my monthly Rocksbox subscription – loved these so much that I purchased them! Ready or not, we’re officially in late summer. I love to make the fall transition a two step process. First, I start covering up the arms a little bit, then, I cover the legs up a bit more. So I wanted to share this late summer look that says “ugh, not ready for summer to end but I’ll warm up to the idea.” And a summer sweater is perfect for that type of outfit!
I snagged this super light weight and slouchy summer sweater at the LOFT party back in July and I just love it! It’s light weight enough that you could wear it on a rainy August day or out for an evening dinner. And, surprise surprise, it’s also super versatile and basic enough that it should last at least a couple of years! Since we are only in the beginning of August, I still wanted things to feel as summery as possible so I wore the sweater with a pair of cut offs and white wedges. What’s more summery than white wedges?! Franco Sarto very kindly gifted these to me and I think they’re the perfect dressy casual shoe! They’re not a dressy wedge, but they dress up a basic, casual outfit just enough without feeling out of place.
I decided to carry my straw cross body bag to keep the summer style rollin’ and I accessorized with these suuuper cute green and blue resin drop earrings for the tiniest pop of color! I got these in my most recent Rocksbox and loved them so much that I ended up using my monthly credit to buy them and keep them, hehe. If you haven’t tried Rocksbox yet, I highly recommend it! What do you guys think of this summer sweater? Do you like to make the transition nice and lengthy too? Ya just gotta slowly come to terms with summer ending and obviously your wardrobe is your emotional stability during that process, hahah. Thanks for reading you guys! Talk to ya soon!
