Hi there lovely people! Hope you’re all doing well on this beautiful Sunday. The weather’s been absolutely beautiful this weekend so we tried to get out and enjoy it a bit. 🙂 But I’m headed into work later this afternoon, meh. It’s okay though, because this is our last week before vacaaaation! I’m getting so stinkin’ excited! And I know Charlie has to be super excited because he has had an absolutely insane week and a half at work. He’s definitely earned this upcoming break from reality! Oh, also, totally changing the subject over here, but yesterday marked an *official* 6 years that Charlie and I have been dating! And I say “dating” even though we’re married now because I still think it’s super important to date your spouse. Anyways. What the heck?! How have 6 years already come and gone?! Time really does fly when you’re having fun and I’m always having a blast with that dude! Pretty stinkin’ glad he’s my hubby. 🙂

The yellow trend is sweeping the nation this spring and summer! Okay, so that may be putting it a bit dramatically and I may sound a bit like a newscaster but, for real, the yellow trend is going strong, y’all! And I’m on board with it. Remember my yellow pants from a couple of weeks ago? I told you guys I was branching out into some colorful things over here! 🙂
So let’s talk styling the yellow trend, which is really pretty simple. Yellow is a bold color, so let it do the talking. Whenever I’m wearing color, you can almost guarantee that I styled the rest of the outfit around the colorful piece! And that’s exactly what I did with this cutie lil yellow babydoll top, which I snagged on super sale so I’m sorry it’s sold out and I can’t share my exact top :(. But the top is romantic, whimsical, and casual so I tried to accentuate those styles with distressed white jeans (keepin’ the colors light for this time of year) and a straw bucket bag because you guys know I’m allll about some straw bags right now.
I wore a pair of gladiator block heels that tie in perfectly with the bag. They also give things a slight 70’s feel, in my opinion, and I think it totally works because mustard yellow always feels like a 70’s color to me. Anyways, getting off track here, hehe. I accessorized with some fun white tassel earrings to keep things a big whimsical and romantic and topped it all off with my favorite sunglasses!
Anyone else loving the yellow trend this season? It’s kind of great, if ya ask me! 🙂 Hope y’all enjoyed another colorful post and thanks for stopping by!
