Happy Thursday lovely people! How’s everyone’s week been so far? Charlie and I have been at the beach with his mom and it’s been sooo nice. I love lounging on the beach with a book and soaking up the sun. It’s also been great spending some time with his mom! We always look forward to some quiet and relaxing family time since we don’t get to see everyone as often as we’d like to. His dad will be joining us today and we can’t wait to see him either!
With the 4th of July being less than a week away, I thought I would share a more subtle 4th of July outfit. You guys know that, in general, I have a pretty subdued, neutral, and simple style. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against bright red or star print for the upcoming holiday-it’s super fun and festive-it’s just not my style. So if you’re like me and want to wear something a little more toned down, I’ve gotcha covered!
I found this ruffle tank top at Old Navy a while back and love it for any occasion, but I thought it would be a great little tank for the 4th of July. You still get your stripes and blue without wearing a full on American flag t-shirt, haha. I wore it with a pair of distressed tom girl jeans although, given the temperatures lately, a pair of white cutoffs may be more appropriate. I finished it off with a pair of flat sandals, my straw bag, and my favorite sunglasses! Aaaand I accessorized with some simple rose gold accessories… that’s almost red, right? Hahah! But seriously, you could do red nails and lips to toss that bright red in there!
I may wear something a little different for the 4th, just since I’m down in NC and it’s much hotter than in PA. Although, PA was keepin’ up with that southern heat before Charlie and I left for vacay! Any who, my back up plan is a flowy, red striped button down and cutoffs. Still simple and subtle but still festive. In general, whenever I’m dressing for something festive, I like to wear something that could be worn any other ordinary day but just so happens to work for the festivity!
Hope you guys enjoyed this subtle 4th of July outfit! What are you wearing for the holiday? Never mind your plans… but what are you wearing? The brain of a fashion addict, #facepalm. But seriously, does anyone have any fun plans?
