Hey hey and happy Thursday you guys! I hope everyone’s had a wonderful week so far. I’ve been in NC this week before the final move down to FL so I’ve been catching up on some work (I’ve been getting more and more behind as the weeks go by) but also took advantage of being in town and catching up with friends and family. I’m actually headed down to Florida today so we can get the keys to our new place and be there when the movers drop all of our stuff off. 🙂

Normally, by this time of year I’d probably start taunting fall with cardigans and peep toe booties. But between the fact that the Florida forecast is still in the 90s for as far out as you can see and that I haven’t had my entire wardrobe with me for more than a month, I’m trying to get creative with my outfits. 😛 So today I’m sharing another fun summer to fall outfit that’s great for the still-warm weather or even a September beach trip. 🙂
I had been eyeing this gold jumpsuit for a while and it finally went on sale (plus I had an extra 40% off coupon) so I splurged and got it… and I regret nothing. It’s so chic and versatile! It’s also perfect for this time of year because it’s a great fall color but still cool enough to wear in the summer months (it’s sleeveless). I wanted to make it feel fall-esque so I wore an ivory linen duster for an added layer. I also wore ivory espadrilles for a summery but close-toed option and, of course, topped everything off with a straw boater hat, straw handbag and sleek pair of shades.
It’s pretty easy to take summery pieces and translate them into a fall outfit. All you have to do is make sure you’re incorporating fall tones and wearing clothes with a bit more coverage. 🙂 You can check out some more tips I’ve shared on putting together a great summer to fall outfit in this blog post. What did you guys think of today’s look? Would you wear this right now or do you tend to avoid straw accessories and shades of white after Labor Day?
