Hey hey guys and gals! (I’m guessing mostly gals, though, let’s be real.) I’m super excited because my mom and nephew are getting here tomorrow evening! We’re headed up to NY on Saturday and Sunday and then we’re gonna show them around our neck of the woods. My mom has been up to visit several times at this point, but I’m excited to show my nephew some of our favorite spots in Philly. He can have his first real Philly cheesesteak, hehe. Anyone else move away from your hometown and get excited to show your family and close friends your new home? Charlie and I are just up here livin’ life and it’s nice for our new little world to collide with our roots for a sweet moment.
As a tooootal sidebar, I’d just like to point out that you will see a large bandage on my right wrist in the photos in this post, hahah. I burnt the flippin’ crap out of my wrist with my curling wand last week. I literally just took the bandaid off for the first time yesterday. I’ve gotta knock that off, though. I burn myself alllll the time (I did tell you guys that I was horridly clumsy-point in case). I burnt my neck one time and everyone thought it was a hickey. Ugh.
I saw this sweater when it was brand new online and immediately fell in love with it. But it isn’t quite like my typical style so I decided not to buy it (would ya look at me practicing self control?). But I literally kept thinking about how cute the sweater was so I inevitably ended up getting it in the end. It’s honestly the cutest striped sweater though. It has just enough color to jazz it up a bit, but still clean cut enough that you can dress it up, down, and sideways.
I don’t really know how to define this look. It’s put together casual with an American feel, kind of? Maybe? I dunno. I want to style the sweater in a really laid back way, too, though. I’m thinking dark grey distressed tom girl jeans and taupe mules. For this look though, I wore my cute lil white button down skirt (white after Labor Day is totally okay if you don’t look like an Easter egg) and grey heeled mules. I thought my mint green mini crossbody bag would be a good way to keep the outfit fun and trendy! Add some simple yet noticeable accessories and ta-da!
Hope you enjoyed the outfit! I’m bringing another “white after Labor Day” outfit to the blog next week ’cause I’m a rule breaker.
