Good morning and happy Thursday friends! What’s everyone been up to this week? My FIL has been here all week helping us do some projects around the house and we’re getting so much accomplished! We put up a chair rail in our dining room, we’re working on a tile backsplash in the kitchen, and hanging a storm door! I’m so excited to be able to open our front door and let some more light in now. Anyone else love maximizing the amount of light you can let into the house? The first thing I do every single morning before walking Aspen and fixing breakfast is open all of the blinds in the house. 🙂 Anyways, I’m super super thankful that he came up and helped us on these projects (and of course it’s always nice to enjoy his company) and I can’t wait to share the kitchen with you once we get it painted!

So, first off I want to address the elephant in the room: my crazy looking arms. I’m not sure what the heck happened here, and it was only in some of the photos, but I guess it was just really, really wonky lighting. I promise I don’t have a super awful looking fake tan, hahah. Anyways, moving right along. I’m in loooove with all things button front this summer! I can’t get enough of it! And every lady needs a cute little white dress for the summertime so I figured a white button front dress was the perfect way to do the LWD this year!
If I’m being honest, there’s only so much you can do with a white button front dress because they all kind of have the same vibe about them. But I wanted to try to style it a little differently than with the typical espadrille and basket bag. Don’t get me wrong, I wore it exactly that way too, I just thought you guys might want to see a slight variation on the theme over here. So I went a little more casual with a simple, flat brown sandal and brown tassel earrings to pull out the brown tortoiseshell buttons. The earrings make things nice and flirty, so I decided to roll with that and carried this cute little coral straw clutch and a fun, bold lip to match!
Have you guys hopped on board the white button front dress train? I keep saying it, I don’t usually get so caught up in trends because I like things that will last me for more than one season, but the trends this spring and summer have me head over heels! Hope you enjoyed this little look and thanks for stopping in you guys! 🙂
