Um guys, there’s a foot of snow on the ground as I sit here writing this, but I’m taunting spring with all of my might with this outfit I’m sharing today! Don’t get me wrong, though. I really do enjoy winter, especially when I get a good snow day! The only problem is, my snow day came after a week and some change of 60+ degree weather, so spring fever hit before the snow! But beggars can’t be choosers, I guess. Hope all of you up here in the Northeast had a wonderful snow day! I got the apartment tidied in the morning and then spent the rest of the day relaxing, so mine was perfection.
See, I told you today’s outfit doesn’t match the climate. But in my mind I don’t need snow boots and a coat, so it’s okay! Anyhow, this outfit is so perfect for the spring transition, you guys! Lighter neutrals, ripped jeans, and something besides a bootie makes for a perfect transitional outfit!
This cardigan is perfect for your winter to spring transition! Since it’s a light ivory, it works perfectly as a winter white but also makes a cardigan feel more appropriate in the springtime! I paired it with a nice taupe, lacy, satin cami. Such a cute and dainty top! (I also think it could be super cute layered over an ivory turtleneck)!
And of course I roughened the look up a bit with some distressed jeans. These jeans are my all time favorite. Literally, I’ve never had a pair of distressed denim that I loved more! The destruction is absolutely perfect and I love that they’re still a skinny jean. It seems like anytime I found a more rugged destruction like this, the jeans are a boyfriend fit. I do love a good boyfriend jean, but I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect destructed skinny jeans and I finally found the pair!
I finished this look off with my leopard pumps, a super fun pair of sunglasses, and a nice bag. With the ruggedness of the denim and the girly-ness of the top, the leopard pumps add a well-balanced compliment of sass! I also love this bag! It’s a deep plum color which is so stylish yet so versatile. My sweet cousin got it for me the Christmas before last and it’s easily one of my favorite bags. It’s perfect for traveling or work! It has a pouch for your laptop and everything! Unfortunately it was a gift, but I linked some similar styles above!
So, are you guys as ready for spring as I am? What are your favorite ways to transition your wardrobe into spring?
